Beyond Motherhood
Welcome to Postbump Theory- a self-care and mindfulness blog for moms! I am so glad you are here. First of all, no matter where you are on your motherhood journey, I want to say CONGRATULATIONS! Pregnancy and childbirth are no easy feat, be proud.
Let’s face it; our society glorifies pregnancy. For a whole nine months, we are looked after and cared for by our spouses, families and healthcare professionals. Once we pop that bun out of our oven, it can leave us feeling a little lost. We live in a world where our entire focus after childbirth becomes our child. And as a result, we often put our well-being and desires on the back burner, convincing ourselves that one day, we will have time for all of that (aka, us). We struggle to find the balance, feel guilty when we can’t get it all done, and neglect the things that once brought us a sense of purpose or joy. We don’t know how to be everything, and while learning to play this new role, we sometimes lose bits and pieces of ourselves along the way.
That ends NOw
Raising children is the most important and rewarding work on earth. We should aim to be the best version of ourselves for the job of a lifetime. We cannot care for others when we have nothing left to give, and this is why we must learn to focus some of our love and attention inwards. Self-care ad mindfulness for moms ultimately makes us better caregivers.
practice mindfulness throughout your day

Hi, I’m Katherine
“Becoming a mom has been the single most rewarding and challenging time of my life.”
It’s been four years since I embarked on my adventure in the world of motherhood, and it has been the best and the most challenging time of my life so far. Because sharing experiences benefits us all, I wanted to create a place where I could share resources that have helped me and where we moms can learn to invest a little more time in our well-being. This is how this self-care and mindfulness blog came to be.
Let’s normalize self-care for moms.
